You will learn about us and our efforts in ushering positive changes for children in their families and in the society around them where they live in, grow and develop. Since Hatemalo's inception in 1982, we have been promoting children's participation in Hatemalo, including them  in organizational decision making as Board members and capacitating adults around children to listen to their views and opinions and recognize them with respect. Without children's participation, their no right can be realized.

We have, since 1982,have focused on the advocacy for the Rights of children with disabilities and raised our voices  against the issues of their deprivation of  all basic rights and social discriminatory attitude of denial to accept them with equality and respect. Lobby with Law makers for legal provisions to promote their equalization of all rights, health care, parental love and care, education and participation.

 To safeguard children from all forms of punishments, torturous and abusive treatments   including sexual abuses by the family members, school teachers and other community adults,  we have raised the issues  to generate  Public Debate and  public awareness and  condemnation to stop the practice of Child beating in schools and in households and other punishments since 2005; and eventually developed Non-Violent Teaching Techniques for school teachers and  Non-Violent Child Rearing Techniques for parents /family members. All these experiences and learning of ours are showcased in this website.

While visiting our Website, you will get opportunity to learn about why and how a baby develops disability before birth, and how can you save a child getting disability before or after birth. You will be able to learn all about Early Childhood Education and Inclusive Education.

We are helping schools and families to be child friendly and disability friendly; we are helping children to get school education, we are transforming mainstream schools to function as Child Friendly Inclusive School ,child friendly Inclusive Families.

You will be able to experience the life of many children of Nepal, their case studies and films to show that a child, in spite of his/her disability, can achieve a lot if s/he gets equal opportunities, love and respect.
