We have been supporting community based grassroots organizations for formation of child clubs, since 1990, and inspiring, empowering children & adolescents to form their clubs. We build up the capacities, skills of child clubs- community based and school based to function as catalysts for social change in the best interest of children. Hatemalo Children's Theater group is the first of its kind in Nepal to get engaged to raise awareness about social injustice towards children.

Through trainings we Develop children's Leadership qualities, Life skills, Communication skills, inter-personal skills, in advocacy tools; develop them as child researchers and child journalists,  broadcasters, eloquent public speakers to advocate for their own  rights; we Equip them with knowledge and information about their rights issues and status of child rights  in the country, promote their Participation & Citizenship Rights and Governance; Enrich them with education in Human values and morality, ethics of life. Simultaneously we sensitize the adults around children in the families, communities, local government agencies, schools to listen to children, to respect their views/opinions, and to involve children in planning in family, in local government periodical planning. Hatemalo has also engaged children/ youths & their clubs to protect and promote their cultural heritage as their identity; and has trained the youths in technical skills enabling them to earn their living in their own states/communities shunning the thought of leaving the country for labor jobs.
